Boys and Girls Ages 8-16.


The Columbia River Soap Box Derby will be holding an All-American Rally Race Sponsored by the

Hood River Lions Club and the Salem Soap Box Derby Association.

The race will be held in

Hood River, Oregon

May 3 & 4, 2008.

Clinics will be held to assist racers in the construction of a race car and to assure that your questions are answered and you receive the help you need!


The Local All-American Race for the Portland/Vancouver/Hood River Areas will be in Salem, Oregon. Please contact them for more information about their rules, regulations and deadlines at

The Local All-American Race Date in

Salem, Oregon will be June 15, 2008.

The local winners at this race will represent Salem at the World Championships in Akron, Ohio on July 26, 2008.

Directions to Hood River, Oregon Race Site - Our races are held on Wasco Avenue in downtown Hood River. From I-84 take exit 62 and go South. Turn left onto Rand Road just past Walmart and then make a quick right onto Wasco Avenue. Continue on until you reach 13th Street. Registration and set-up will be at the South Parking lot across from Embarq’s Wacoma Building.
